Getting stopped for drunk driving is embarrassing. I had met up with some friends in Bethesda after work on a Friday evening. Over the course of the evening I had about four drinks. I felt fine and didn't think that I had consumed too much to drive safely. A police officer pulled me over for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign. I knew I was in trouble when the first thing he asked he asked is whether I had anything to drink. Everything that followed was a roller coaster ride that I couldn’t get off.
Gary was referred to me by a co-worker who had been charged with a DUI charge about a year earlier. All I can say is that Gary and his firm was great. The bottom line is that I avoided a conviction and kept my license. And the best part is that I didn’t have to tell my mother. And being Italian that’s big!

My ex-wife Carol and I had been having marital problems for over two years. The problems had reached a point where divorce was imminent. The problem was that neither one of us were willing to move out of the home or give up custody of the two girls. Things came to a head when I terminated our house keeper due to finances and Carol sought to rehire her. As I was only person actually working, I explained that there would be no money to pay her. At this point Carol started yelling at me about coming within two inches of my face, screaming that I had no right to fire the house keeper. I pushed Carol out of the way and she then claimed that I had assaulted her. She called the police and the next thing I knew was that I was being arrested. It didn’t matter to the police that she had no injuries or that we had been together for more than 16 years and were both in our mid 40’s. That’s when I entered the world of the criminal justice system.
I found Gary and Rebecca through a referral from my accountant. I came to learn that allegations of domestic violence are not unusual in divorce cases. As much as I hated the process, I was very impressed with how my case was handled. Gary and Rebecca were excellent. My case went to trial and I was found not guilty. The funny thing is that the acquittal in the criminal case worked out to my advantage in the divorce.
The lesson that I learned from this whole ordeal is not to be afraid. And I suppose that is where Gary and Rebecca really made a difference. You know the expression, “I’ve seen it all before”. Well, these lawyers sure have. My whole defense was based upon their experience and. The jury saw right through to the truth and in the end, I won.

I don't know really how to explain this. I had the money to purchase anything in the store. But, for some reason, I decided to pocket a few things and walk out the door. That is when I learned that stores employ "loss prevention officers". One of which, came running after me and told me that I had to come back into the store - The walk of shame.
My biggest fear was having to tell my husband or that any of my family might find out.
I discovered Gary’s firm from the internet and made an appointment. That turned out to be the best decision I could have made. Nobody laughed at me. In fact everyone was very understanding. Gary explained that he often meets his clients when they are feeling the worst. In my case, Gary said that he had handled lots of cases just like mine. I could avoid a criminal record and I would not be going to jail. To be honest, even though I had never even mentioned the “jail” word, that was a big silent fear.
What I did was foolish. But it turned out that the cause was that I had been suffering from depression. The incident finally made me have to confront that fact that I had been ignoring a long term, and ultimately debilitating, psychological problem for years. Gary was instrumental in helping me out of a serious situation without forsaking my pride. I highly recommend Gary and his firm.
